The property is beautifully designed and set high amongst the vineyards close to Pinha. We had 3 wonderful days drinking in a spectacular view, eating fabulous food and enjoying the Quinta da Corte red and white wine. The room was beautiful; comfortable and charming with touches of traditional Portugal particularly with the hand crafted tiles in the bathroom. Guests were welcome to have coffee and cake at any time in the main house. The concept of relaxed luxury was pitch perfect.

Everything! Best location/view in the Douro. We wish we would have eaten dinner at the hotel instead of at Bom Fim (though this was very nice). The views and staff are wonderful. We wish we would have stayed longer. Highly highly recommend!

Luxurious stay with phenomenal views of the Douro River and Valley. Breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, yogurt, grains, juices, pastries, bread, coffee, tea was wonderful. The terraces permitted and encouraged relaxing and tranquil lounging. Rooms were clean, generally well-furnished, with spa-like bathrooms. The staff were particularly helpful with our day touring arrangements, making dinner reservations for us in Pinhao.

One of the most beautiful places in the World.
One of the most beautiful places in the World. Don’t miss this area. Stay out of the large city. A vineyard hotel up high would be the perfect place. You’ll be able to drive through wonderful small villages in your way. Once in your hotel you’ll probably have access to a great personal or very small tour of the vineyard production facilities. We were invited to walk in the vineyard all we wanted. Views are absolutely amazing. We also stayed at the Barrel hotel which was touristy and filled with buses. Get up and away from the tourist crowd. We drive there Valley by car. It was easy and gorgeous.

Lovely region where you can explore vineyards and nice food. It is worth doing a wine tasting with visit to know the details about wine making and the varities of grapes. The landscape is exquisite and you feel an inner peace looking down the Douro river and the vineyards. The people are warm and happy, always ready to help. It is better to go by car to enjoy the full potential of the region. Be prepared to drive on hills with many curves and narrow roads. They also produce olive oil and it is delicious!!!

I spent there 2 nights, went for a boat tour, tasting in one of the vineyards and stayed in another. The Valenca do Douro is just stunning, I couldn't stop taking photos! It was a weekend trip, so 2 nights after spending 2 nights in Porto were just perfect. If travelled for longer we would probably do more tasting in more vineyards to see differences in the processes of wine production and longer day trips from the vineyard that we stayed at.MagdalenaUnited Kingdom

It has the most beautiful views overlooking the vineyards and the Douro River. We had a room in the main building of the hotel which was very comfortable. Enjoyed our time by the infinity pool where you can sit under the trees looking out at the view. Very friendly staff. Liked the way self-service coffee, drinks and snacks were available. A few years ago the property was renovated, and the architect at a fabulous job with the winery, the end, and the seamless freshwater pool. Breakfast is very delicious with plenty of options. and the staff were extremely helpful. Two of the three nights first day we ate dinner at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. Wines were amazing, dinners were out of this world cooked by Miguel as well. There's a genuine care on everything. Never visited same place twice but we are considering it now.
