Breakfast was divine served beautifully served in a stunning setting.
The local taxi man was really helpful and friendly, super efficient.
We would highly recommend it, but for walkers, book a taxi from the town!

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.
Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail".
I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

Amazing view of the ocean, excellent location. Host was very quick to respond to all messages, they even came and brought a new heater and toaster oven when we informed that the apartment was still very cold. We really appreciated their quick responses and actions taken. We had a very relaxing stay as a family and our baby daughter could play on the beach right in front of the apartment which was really great.
The most delightful boutique hotel. The decor is exceptionally tasteful; the deck overlooks the sea; a magnificent beach is a short walk away; Sandra and her staff were charming and helpful, and the breakfast was the best ever - delicious fresh fruit and breads. And there are great seafood restaurants in the village and down the road - Sacas and A Barca Tranquitanas
The apartment is spacious & very nice with a lot of attention to details such as fluffy towels, complimentary wine & cheese, and fresh bread & berries in the morning. The kitchen has everything you need. Everything is spotlessly clean. Good info sheets on where to go and what to see. The outdoor seating areas & pool would be great in nice weather. Very quiet.
The house is in an amazing location, right on the cliff in the beautiful town of Zambujeira do Mar. It is also a very charming place, with amazing sea views and the sound of the sea. The owner, whom we've met briefly when we arrived and before leaving, is a very kind and nice lady.
The room and facility were clean and tidy. The location is great, right off the Fishermen's Trail and close to restaurants and shops. We stayed for one night during a hike on the Fishermen's Trail and it provided a nice rest stop. The breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.
Herdade Amalia exceeded our expectations. The location is outstanding, especially if you love beautiful beaches, hiking and stunning sunsets. Antonio is a true gem; he and his staff are wonderful hosts. The bed was very comfortable and the food was delicious. We will be back!
Buffet continental breakfast with a good choice of food and drink. Nice terrace area. Lovely evenings in the restaurant supplied from the hotels own veg patch. Peaceful pool area. Comfortable rooms. Very good service. Coastal walks nearby. Near to Vila Nova de Milfontes.
it is a wonderful oasis couple of km off the Fishermen’s trail and Zambujeira do Mar (but there is a taxi service), nice place to relax. The wonderful lady Carmo takes care of the property and guests (and spoiled us every morning with some extra treats).
This is such an awesome location, right in the heart of the town, near all kinds of restaurants and with an awesome view of the sunset from the roof top patio!!! Also has a wonderful living room and kitchen, would be lovely to have spent more time there.
Everything, especially the fact that we could make tea on a very cold, wet winter day. Also, room was warm which is not always the case in Portugal in winter. Very cosy and welcoming. Also, the best bed we had on our trip.
Spacious room, spotless clean and very tastefully decorated, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Breakfast was superb. Owner is a very nice and sweet lady who put her heart and soul into this hotel.
Lovely small hotel, very close to the beach and to the Fishermen's Trail. Modern and very clean with a great bathroom. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Highly recommended
Friendly, very helpful staff, very clean place with a washer and dryer,. Good local wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. All this and only 1 block from the beach.
